Alwyn LIM is a Full-time Associate Professor of Sociology at Singapore Management University (SMU), holding the Lee Kong Chian Fellowship (2022-2024). His research focuses on globalization's impact on organizations and institutions, particularly corporate responsibility frameworks, capitalism dynamics, and Singapore's political economy. He teaches Global & Transnational Sociology and Economic Sociology.
Qualifications include a PhD in Sociology from the University of Michigan (2012), MA degrees from SUNY (2005) and NUS (2003). His research interests span Global Sociology, Political Economy, and organizational studies with a focus on Singapore's developmental state.
