Altug Saygili

Dr. Altuğ Saygılı is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University's Faculty of Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering. He currently serves as Department Head and has previously held the position of Vice Dean (2020-2022). His academic career spans over two decades with significant contributions to soil stabilization techniques and sustainable construction materials.

Dr. Saygılı earned his Bachelor's degree from Yıldız Technical University's Civil Engineering Department, followed by his Master's and Doctorate degrees from Boğaziçi University's Geotechnical Engineering program. His educational background established the foundation for his expertise in geotechnical engineering and soil mechanics, focusing on innovative soil improvement methods.

His research focuses on innovative soil stabilization methods, particularly using waste materials like marble dust, fly ash, recycled brick powder, and synthetic fibers.
