Alpaslan Gönenç is a full-time Lecturer at Akdeniz University, Turkey, where he has been serving within the Serik Gülsün-Süleyman Süral Vocational School since 2015. He teaches Turkish Language courses at both undergraduate and associate-degree levels, focusing on nurturing students’ linguistic competence and cultural awareness.

Through philological and folkloric lenses he investigates traditional narratives, folk beliefs, and oral culture in Anatolia, exemplified by his master’s dissertation exploring folk medicine and beliefs in Korkuteli, Antalya.
