Alparslan Oymak is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Yildiz Technical University, Faculty of Arts & Science. He holds a doctorate from Marmara University and has been an active academic since 2017, contributing to research, teaching, and university administration.

Alparslan Oymak has been involved in funded research projects on Tanzimat humor and Western literary influences in Ottoman press. He has also contributed to academic training, such as the Academic Refereeing Course by İKSAD. He currently serves as Deputy Head of Department and Faculty Representative for FEDEK, demonstrating active engagement in academic governance and strategic planning.
He has previously taught at Punjab University, Pakistan (2016–2017), and continues to teach graduate and undergraduate courses including Research Methods, Literary Theories, Tanzimat Literature, and Humor in Modern Turkish Literature.
