Fatih Altuğ is an Associate Professor of Modern Turkish Literature. His research focuses on representations of subjectivity, agency, and gender in modern Ottoman-Turkish literature, with a current emphasis on literary networks of women writers in the late Ottoman period. He earned his PhD from Boğaziçi University and has held positions at Istanbul Şehir University, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and Koç University.
His publications include the book Kapalı İktisat Açık Metin (2018) and a co-edited volume Tanzimat ve Edebiyat: Osmanlı İstanbulu’nda Modern Edebi Kültür (2014). His work appears in Turkish journals and essay collections, analyzing writers such as Namık Kemal, Fuad Köprülü, and Orhan Pamuk.
