Dr. Almudena Hurtado Picó is a Research Fellow at the Free University of Berlin, affiliated with the Department of Biology, Chemistry, and Pharmacy. She works in the Biochemistry division within the Freund Group, focusing on protein biochemistry and molecular biology.
Research Interests: Her work involves studying interactions between PRS and interacting domains, scaffolding proteins at the membrane, and zDHHC PATs (palmitoyl acyltransferases) as part of the SFB TRR186 project. Previous research includes investigating regulatable adenoviruses for tumor therapy during her PhD at Charité - Berlin.
Roles and Responsibilities: She manages laboratory organization, handles orders, and ensures compliance with biosafety standards (S1/S2). Her expertise spans molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and structural biology, with contributions to antigen presentation by MHC Class II proteins.
