Dr Allyn Thomas is an Honorary Researcher at the Tizard Centre, University of Kent's School of Social Sciences. He holds a BSc in Genetics from Liverpool and two PhDs: one in microbial genetics from Nottingham University, and a part-time PhD on police use of Section 136 of the Mental Health Act 1983 from the University of Kent.
