Allyala Krishna Nandakumar is Professor of the Practice at Brandeis University's Heller School for Social Policy and Management, where he serves as Director of the Institute for Global Health and Development and Academic Director of Global Studies Programs.
His expertise spans health economics, financing, and policy, with significant government experience as Chief Economist for both the Global AIDS Coordinator and USAID's Global Health Bureau. Nandakumar's work focuses on sustainable health financing models, economic analysis of global health programs, and value optimization in resource-constrained settings.
He developed innovative initiatives to increase country investment in HIV/AIDS services and established health financing practice groups within USAID. Nandakumar advises international agencies on health economics and currently supports PEPFAR and USAID missions.
