Allison Ellington is Professor and Director of the Occupational Therapy Program at Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences, Mary Baldwin University, where she has been a faculty member since 2013. She maintains active clinical practice in adult neurological rehabilitation across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Education:
- BS in Occupational Science, Ithaca College (Summa Cum Laude)
- MS in Occupational Therapy, Ithaca College (Summa Cum Laude)
- Post-professional OTD, Chatham University
Research Focus: Dr. Ellington investigates rehabilitation technologies and educational methodologies, with emphasis on: virtual reality applications for stroke recovery; development of occupation-based therapeutic tools; innovative approaches to fieldwork education through online journal clubs; and optimization of doctoral experiential components in occupational therapy programs.
