Allison Bond

Allison Bond, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, affiliated with the Department of Neuroscience and Cell, Developmental, and Regenerative Biology. She contributes to multiple institutes, including the Friedman Brain Institute and the Institute for Regenerative Medicine.

Dr. Bond’s research explores endogenous programs regulating neural stem cell capacity across the lifespan, focusing on hippocampal neurogenesis and therapeutic neuroplasticity. She uses clonal lineage tracing, single-cell omics, and genetic manipulation in mouse models to study cell-cell interactions during development.

Her publications since 2022 highlight advancements in histone modifications, neural stem cell maturation, and lifespan neurogenesis, with key contributions in Nature, Cell Reports, and Nature Communications.

Current projects investigate long-term impacts of developmental experiences and disease-associated genetics on neural stem cell behavior and brain function.
