Allison Bond

Allison Bond, MD, MA, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), School of Medicine. She practices as both an Infectious Disease and Hospital Medicine physician, attending on inpatient services and providing primary care for individuals living with HIV. Dr. Bond holds key educational leadership roles, directing the Department of Medicine Grand Rounds and the Cases & Conundrums learning conference at UCSF Health.

Her academic interests center on clinical reasoning, medical education, and the management of infectious diseases by non-specialist clinicians. Her research spans antibiotic stewardship, transplant infectious diseases, public health, and patient care innovations for vulnerable populations, including those experiencing homelessness and with substance use disorders. Recent publications highlight her work in Delphi methodology for hospitalist metrics and the use of natural language processing in pharmacovigilance.
