Judge Allegra Collins serves on the North Carolina Court of Appeals since 2019. She previously held full-time faculty roles at Campbell Law School, including Externship Director and Interim Director of Legal Research and Writing. She also served as an adjunct professor prior to her full-time appointment. Her academic expertise focuses on appellate practice, judicial processes, and legal writing instruction.
Education includes an LL.M. in Judicial Studies from Duke Law School (20XX?), J.D. from Campbell Law School, and B.A. from The College of William and Mary. Professional experience includes founding an appellate law firm (2015), serving as a law clerk to Judge Linda Stephens, and contributing to the Supreme Court of NC as Assistant Appellate Reporter.
Active in professional organizations: former chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section and member of its Appellate Rules Committee. Her legal career is complemented by a notable athletic background as a world-ranked tennis player and former member of the U.S. National Team Handball Team.
Resides in Raleigh with her family, including her husband Bryan Collins (Superior Court Judge).
