Allan Fritz is a Professor in the Department of Agronomy at Kansas State University. He leads the wheat breeding program, which focuses on developing public hard winter wheat varieties through the Kansas Wheat Alliance, emphasizing traits such as heat and drought tolerance, high grain yield, and disease resistance. His work is supported by collaborations with the Wheat Genetics and Genomics Center, USDA wheat genetics program, and other departments.
