Allan Collard-Wexler is a Professor of Economics at Duke University, affiliated with the Department of Economics within the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University (2007). His research focuses on empirical industrial organization, dynamic games, market power, and resource allocation. He has contributed to influential studies on topics such as oil industry misallocation, steel industry productivity, and electricity shortages in India. Collard-Wexler has received the Excellence in Refereeing Award from the American Economic Review multiple times (2009, 2010, 2011, 2013) and serves as Co-Editor of the RAND Journal of Economics. He teaches courses like Market Power and Public Policy at Duke and has advised numerous graduate students, many of whom now work in academia, government, and industry. His research has been featured in media outlets, including discussions on technology-driven industry changes and OPEC's impact on global markets.
