Allan Antliff is a Professor in Art History & Visual Studies at the University of Victoria's Faculty of Fine Arts. Holding the Jeffrey Rubinoff Legacy Chair since 2023, he directs the Anarchist Archive at UVic and maintains editorial roles for Anarchist Studies and Anarchist Developments in Cultural Studies.

Research focuses on Modern American and European art, Contemporary art, and Anarchist studies, with particular emphasis on:

His 2024-2007 publications show sustained exploration of anarchist aesthetics across print culture, indigenous sovereignty, abstract expressionism, and economic critique in art. Recent articles examine transnational anarchist networks, pandemic-era social theory, and decolonial art practices.
