Dr. Alison Willis serves as a Lecturer and Researcher in the School of Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC), Australia, where she founded the Teachers of Australia social media campaign highlighting educators' contributions. Her work bridges academic performance frameworks with student well-being initiatives across diverse educational contexts.
Her educational background includes a PhD from the University of the Sunshine Coast completed in 2013. Professional experience spans primary, middle, and secondary schools alongside university-level undergraduate and postgraduate instruction, with leadership roles in curriculum development and pedagogical coaching.
Research focuses on stress and trauma impacts on learning, particularly informed by fieldwork in Northern Uganda where she examined teacher roles in conflict/post-conflict environments.
