Dr. Alison Kelly is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Dakota. She serves as a core faculty member in both the General/Experimental and Forensic Psychology graduate programs and currently directs the Forensic Psychology Graduate Programs. Her research focuses on psychology and law, equity in higher education, and open educational practices. She holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from UND and previously earned her MA and BS in Psychology from UND and South Dakota State University, respectively.

Her research interests include eyewitness memory accuracy, juror perceptions of marginalized groups, and curriculum diversity. She actively promotes open educational resources through her OER Research Fellow role (2021-2022). Dr. Kelly teaches courses such as Cognitive Psychology, History of Psychology, and special topics like the Social Psychology of Taylor Swift and Interrogations/Confessions.
She is currently recruiting one graduate student for the 2024-2025 cycle in Forensic or General/Experimental Psychology. Her work bridges legal psychology, educational equity, and inclusive pedagogy.
