Aline Scherrer is a Researcher in the Department of Energy Policy and Energy Markets, focusing on social science aspects of transport and energy technologies. Her work emphasizes electric mobility, synthetic fuels, and transition strategies in decarbonization. She holds a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences (Governance) from the University of Freiburg, an MSc in Sustainable Development (Earth System Governance) from Utrecht University, and a PhD from the University of Sussex's Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU).
Her research integrates quantitative and qualitative methods to explore the intersection of technology acceptance, societal transitions, and innovation.
