Alina Marculetiu

Dr. Alina Marculetiu is an Assistant Professor in Management & Marketing at Youngstown State University's Williamson College of Business Administration. With a DBA in Supply Chain Management from Cleveland State University, she specializes in sustainable supply chain management, triple bottom line approaches, and pedagogical innovation.

Her research examines how institutional pressures and barriers influence sustainability implementation in supply chains. She has received multiple teaching awards including the Distinguished Professor in Teaching Award (2024) and Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award (2016). Dr. Marculetiu integrates experiential learning in courses covering supply chain management, operations, and analytics.

She serves in leadership roles for the Midwest Decisions Sciences Institute and develops case studies addressing real-world sourcing challenges. Her recent publications explore how cooperative supply chain relationships align with firm strategy and methods to overcome sustainability implementation barriers.
