Alice Norton

Dr. Alice Norton is a Lecturer and Adjunct Fellow at the Graduate School of Health, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where she teaches in the Master of Clinical Psychology program. She is a registered clinical psychologist with extensive experience across various clinical settings including NSW Health, non-government organizations, and private practice.

Dr. Norton completed her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (DCP) and Ph.D. at the University of Sydney between 2010 and 2016. Her doctoral research focused on effective treatments for social anxiety disorder.

Dr. Norton's primary research interests center around anxiety disorders, with particular emphasis on social anxiety disorder, complex trauma, attachment issues, and youth mental health. Her work explores the nature and treatment of anxiety disorders through various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Imagery Rescripting (ImR), and Schema Therapy. She has made significant contributions to understanding self-concept clarity in social anxiety, remote delivery of psychological treatments, and the application of schema modes in anxiety disorders.
