Alice Martin is a Lecturer at the University of Nîmes and a Designer at the Occitanie Region Lab, a public innovation unit focused on collaborative policy-making. She holds a PhD in Design from the University of Nîmes (2022), supervised by Michela Deni and Marine Royer under a CIFRE contract with the Occitanie Region. Her research explores the intersection of design practices with public administration, emphasizing collaborative approaches to territorial policy development.
Education: DNAP in Object and Space Design (École Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Reims, 2018) followed by a Master's in Design Innovation and Society (University of Nîmes).
Research interests center on co-design methodologies, public sector collaboration, and the application of design thinking in governmental contexts. She actively contributes to the Dessein Public association. Recent publications focus on collaborative governance models and the role of designers in public policy innovation.
Her work bridges academic research and practical implementation, addressing challenges in administrative practices and citizen participation. Grants include the CIFRE contract supporting her doctoral research. She is affiliated with the PROJEKT research team, specializing in design-driven social innovation.
