Alice Hovorka

Dr. Alice Hovorka is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Geography and Planning at Queen’s University, located in Kingston, Ontario. She previously served as a Full Professor at the University of Guelph (2003–2014) and held roles in urban development consulting for CIDA and IDRC. Her research focuses on human-environment relationships through feminist, poststructuralist, and posthumanist lenses, emphasizing animal geographies, gender dynamics, and urban contexts in Southern Africa.
