Alice Fox is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of the School of Art at the University of Brighton, where she founded the MA Inclusive Arts Practice. She directs the Rocket Artists Studios, a collective of learning-disabled and academic artists, and has led international inclusive arts projects with organizations like Tate Modern and the British Council. Her work focuses on participatory arts to combat social exclusion, particularly among marginalized groups such as people with learning disabilities and elders.
She has held roles as an external examiner at Royal Holloway and is a member of the Teaching Excellence Alliance Peer Review College. Her research explores how art fosters connection and understanding, including projects on movement-based collaboration, performative gallery interactions, and ephemeral materials like ice and ribbon.
