Alice Cranney is a Lecturer in Humanities at the Faculty of Education, Southern Cross University, based on the Gold Coast Campus. Her work bridges pedagogy, transnational experiences, and cultural/linguistic learning, with a focus on qualitative research methodologies.

Her research investigates how transnational encounters transform identity and perception through intercultural communication, particularly in educational contexts. She currently explores strategies to enhance student engagement in secondary History classrooms. Her expertise spans ethnographic methods, curriculum design, and pedagogical innovation in multicultural settings.
Alice welcomes postgraduate supervision opportunities in areas related to Humanities pedagogy, transnationalism, language learning, and qualitative social studies. She has prior teaching experience in secondary schools across New South Wales and Queensland, delivering History, Spanish, and English.
