Alica-Nana Citron is a Research Fellow at the University of Oslo’s Department of Archaeology, Conservation and History, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities. She is a core member of the ERC-funded project BE4COPY (Before Copyright), focusing on gender and book history in the early modern period. Her doctoral research examines the roles and knowledge systems of women in early modern German printing businesses, particularly their engagement with printing privileges. Supervised by Marius Buning and co-supervised by Matteo Valleriani, her work integrates methods from digital humanities, feminist epistemology, and sociological theory. She holds an MA in History and Theory of Science and Technology from the Technical University of Berlin (2022) and conducted postgraduate research at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science as a Visiting Predoctoral Fellow (2022–2026).
