Ali Fahmi is a Research Fellow in Epidemiology and Statistics at Professor Tjeerd van Staa's team since March 2021. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London (2022), focusing on Bayesian network models for Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) management. His current work, supported by a NIHR DSE Fellowship, addresses adverse drug reactions in polypharmacy and antibiotic prescribing optimization. He contributes to the NIHR-funded BRIT2 project, developing a Knowledge Support System (KSS) for antibiotic prescribing in primary care using OpenSAFELY analytics.
