Dr. Ali AlYousefi is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Kuwait University. He holds a PhD in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania (2023), an M.Arch from the University of Michigan (2018), and a B.Arch from Kuwait University (2014). His research focuses on architecture theory, literary writing, and the intersection of ideas and genres. He has published in Architectural Research Quarterly and Journal of Modern Literature, and authored two Arabic literary works: Ahjari and Ghabat Al-Ashjar. His work explores theoretical frameworks, textual analysis, and cultural critique, blending academic rigor with artistic expression. AlYousefi also engages in visual arts, curating exhibitions like Exhibition: Small Works, Big Worlds and contributing art reviews analyzing Palestinian themes in contemporary art. His academic appointments and creative output reflect a dual commitment to architectural theory and cultural production.
