Alfred Montoya is an Associate Professor of Anthropology in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology at Trinity University. His research explores intersections of science, technology, and society in public health contexts, with a focus on epidemic governance in Southeast Asia, particularly HIV/AIDS in Vietnam. Recent projects examine climate change impacts on migration and health in the Mekong subregion, urban poverty in San Antonio, and digital representations of mortality.
