- Role: Regents' Professor
- Department: Planetary Sciences
- Institution: University of Arizona
- Notable Missions: HiRISE (MRO), LROC (LRO), CaSSIS (ExoMars), Europa Clipper (EIS Deputy-PI)
His research focuses on active geologic processes such as volcanism, impact cratering, and slope dynamics across planetary bodies. Recent work includes analyzing CO₂ seasonal activity on Mars, studying Europa's habitability via the Clipper mission, and investigating Io's volcanic processes through proposed missions. He also contributes to planetary imaging calibration and digital terrain modeling using HiRISE and CaSSIS data.
Selected awards include the Regents' Professor title (2019) and leadership roles in flagship missions. He has advised over 20 PhD and Master's students, including Mackenzie Mills and Ingrid Daubar, and collaborates extensively with planetary scientists globally.
