Alexis Demailly serves as International Visiting Professor of Cornet at the Royal Northern College of Music, where he is part of the Wind, Brass and Percussion faculty. A distinguished cornet and trumpet player, he brings extensive professional experience from major orchestras and ensembles to his academic role.

Demailly's career is built on studies at the academies of music in Lille and Saint Omer, and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he now teaches. His performance career includes positions as principal trumpet in the Pasdeloup Orchestra (the oldest symphony orchestra in France), principal cornet in the Air Force Brass Band, principal cornet at the Paris Opera since 2003, and principal cornet in the Paris Brass Band since 2009.
As an active performer, Demailly regularly appears as a soloist both in France and internationally. He has collaborated with prominent composers including Joseph Vella, Peter Meechan, Peter Graham, Stan Nieuwenhuis, and Fabien Cali on new musical works. His recordings have gained international recognition and are widely reputed around the world.
