Prof. Alexey Lyulin is an Associate Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and part-time Professor at University of Twente. His research focuses on atomic-scale modeling of polymers, including their glass transition, nanocomposites, and biomedical applications. He leads the Soft Matter and Biological Physics group, specializing in multiscale simulations to enhance polymer material properties.
Academically, he holds a PhD from the Russian Academy of Sciences (1992) and has held postdoctoral positions at leading institutions including the Max-Planck Institute and University of Leeds. Since 2019, he has been at TU/e, and since 2023, he holds a part-time professorship at the University of Twente’s EEMCS and S&T faculties.
His research emphasizes polymer dynamics and mechanics, particularly in energy applications. Key areas include polymer nanocomposites, thin films, and the interplay between structure and properties in confined environments.
