Alexandre Teixeira serves as a tenured Professor of Music at the Institute of Arts, Federal University of Uberlandia (UFU), where he has taught trombone since 2010. He currently directs the Orquestra Popular do Cerrado, specializing in Brazilian and international instrumental repertoire.

His research focuses on trombone performance techniques, Brazilian musical traditions, and innovative music education methodologies. He actively disseminates knowledge through a dedicated YouTube channel with over 3,000 subscribers, analyzing trombone repertoire and technical execution.
Prior professional experience includes trombonist positions with the ES Symphony Orchestra and ES Military Police Band. He maintains an active performance career as a chamber musician, specializing in trombone-piano duos.
As conductor of the Orquestra Popular do Cerrado, he leads UFU's extension initiative promoting regional and global instrumental music through community engagement and public performances.
