Alexandre Benoit Corthay is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pathology, Oslo University Hospital, and University of Oslo. He leads the Tumor Immunology Lab and is a Primary Investigator at the Hybrid Technology Hub Centre of Excellence.
Education: Biology (University of Geneva), PhD (Lund University).
- Research Focus: Cancer immunology, immunotherapy, macrophage biology, and tumor microenvironment dynamics.
His work explores dendritic cell activation, macrophage anti-cancer activity, and cytokine signaling in tumor suppression. Recent articles highlight Toll-like receptor agonists, interferon pathways, and tumor immune evasion mechanisms.

He has headed the Tumor Immunology Lab since 2018 and serves as Associate Editor for the Scandinavian Journal of Immunology. His lab studies CD4+ T-cell interactions, natural polysaccharides as immunotherapeutics, and tumor-on-a-chip technology for live drug response monitoring.
