Dr. Alexandra Polyan is a postdoc researcher at the University of Regensburg's Institute of Slavic Studies, working on the project 'The Short Life of Soviet Yiddish Literature' under Prof. Dr. Sabine Koller since 2020. She was previously a lecturer and senior research associate at Moscow State University's Institute of Asian and African Studies, Department of Jewish Studies (2007–2020). Her research focuses on Jewish languages, Yiddish literature, Hebrew linguistics, and bilingualism in diasporic contexts.
