Prof. Dr. Sabine Koller is a Professor of Slavic-Jewish Studies at the University of Regensburg, holding the Graduate School for East and Southeast European Studies board since 2020. Her research focuses on Soviet Yiddish literature, intertextuality, violence in cultural narratives, and Jewish identity in Eastern Europe.
- Academic Leadership: Director of the Doctoral Program PUR, Research Dean (2015-2019), Coordinator of Research Modules at the Leibniz Science Campus (2019-).
- Education: Habilitation (2010), PhD in Slavic Philology (summa cum laude, 2002).
Research Interests span the Soviet Yiddish cultural renaissance, intertextuality, intermediality, and urban topographies like St. Petersburg and Moscow. She analyzes Jewish identity through literature and art, especially under Soviet repression.
Articles highlight Soviet Yiddish literature, gender in poetry, pogrom narratives, and translations of Pushkin. Her work bridges Yiddishkayt and Eyropeishkayt (Eastern Europe and global Jewish identity).
