Alexandra Judelsohn is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University at Buffalo's School of Architecture and Planning. Her research focuses on structural inequities in urban planning, public health, and environmental studies, with a particular emphasis on refugee communities and food systems. She earned her PhD from the University of Michigan and holds an MURP from UB and a BA in Media Studies from Emerson College.

Judelsohn's research emphasizes participatory approaches, such as the Western New York Refugee Health Summit, to co-create knowledge with marginalized communities.
Her recent articles explore topics like institutional responses to pandemic shocks, food sovereignty in conflict zones, and pedagogical frameworks for equitable food systems. She has conducted international fieldwork in Kashmir and India and previously worked in UB's Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab, examining refugee food environments.
Her professional service includes program evaluation for food systems initiatives and advocacy for socially just urban policy. She actively bridges academic research with community action to advance equity in urban development.
