Alexandra Fiocco

Dr. Alexandra Fiocco is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her research focuses on cognitive aging, stress, and biopsychosocial determinants of health in later life. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience from McGill University and has completed postdoctoral training at the University of California San Francisco and Baycrest in Toronto.

Labs & Teams: STAR Lab (Study of Aging, Resilience, and Aging Research). The lab investigates preventive strategies for healthy aging, including mindfulness and dietary interventions.

Supervision: Dr. Fiocco supervises graduate and undergraduate students in clinical and psychological science. Her advisees focus on topics like stress biomarkers, dietary patterns, and caregiver resilience.
