Alexandra Campbell is Professor of Criminology and Sociology at the University of New England. Her scholarship examines intersections of medicalization processes, criminal justice systems, and institutional power structures. Teaching specialties include Medical Sociology, Deviance and Crime, and Media/Culture/Crime dynamics.
Research analyzes how social institutions define and regulate normative boundaries through medical and legal frameworks. Campbell's work critically examines power asymmetries in labeling practices and their societal consequences across healthcare and justice contexts.
