معرفی
Alexandra Attia is a Researcher at the University of Fribourg, affiliated with the Rectorate. Her work emphasizes funerary practices, gender roles, and cross-cultural interactions in Magna Graecia. She has conducted extensive studies on Apulian vase painting, particularly the imagery of the Painter of Primato, exploring themes like banqueting rituals, clothing as identity markers, and the socio-political contexts of ancient communities.
Her research project funded by SNSF examines textile craftsmanship and dress in Apulian iconography (5th–3rd centuries BCE), analyzing clothing as a symbol of identity and cultural exchange between Greeks and Indigenous populations. Key contributions include analyses of Lucanian ceramics, funerary art, and the role of games in ancient symposia.
