The University of Manchesterمعرفی
Dr. Alexander Romanov is a Royal Society University Research Fellow at the University of Manchester, specializing in Materials Chemistry. His research focuses on advanced organometallic materials for optoelectronic applications, particularly Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs). He holds a PhD in synthetic organometallic chemistry from the A.N. Nesmeyanov Institute of Organoelement Compounds, Russian Academy of Sciences, and has conducted postdoctoral work at the University of Manchester.
Education includes:
- PhD (2011): Triple- and tetra-decker complexes with bridging diborolyl ligand, A.N. Nesmeyanov Institute of Organoelement Compounds
- MChem (2010): Derivatives of ferrocene and cobalt compounds, New Mexico Highlands University
- MChem (2007): New synthesis methods for oligo-decker complexes, Higher Chemical College/D. Mendeleev University
His research interests span optoelectronics, energy materials, and sustainable development (SDG 7, 9, 11). Key achievements include the invention of Carbene Metal Amide (CMA) materials for energy-efficient OLEDs (3 patents) and awards like the Royal Society of Chemistry's 'One to Watch' Prize.
His work emphasizes high-performance emitters, photoluminescence optimization, and triplet exciton management. Notable projects include 'High-performance coinage metal emitters for OLEDs' and 'Thermally activated delayed fluorescence materials.' Collaborations span global institutions, advancing optoelectronic applications.
