Chamil Abeykoon

Chamil Abeykoon is a Senior Lecturer in Materials Engineering at the University of Manchester, affiliated with the School of Materials and the Aerospace Research Institute. He holds a Ph.D. from Queen's University Belfast and a B.Sc. from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. His research focuses on polymer processing, renewable energy technologies, soft sensors, and additive manufacturing. He has supervised over 30 postgraduate students and authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications. His work is funded by industry and professional bodies, and he serves as an Associate Editor for multiple journals.
