Alexander Martin

Professor Alexander Martin serves as the Founding Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Technology Nuremberg (UTN). He previously held roles including Chair of Analytics & Mixed-Integer Optimization at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and Deputy Head of the Optimization department at the Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB). He earned his doctorate in mathematics from TU Berlin after studying industrial mathematics at the University of Augsburg.

• Research Focus: Optimization, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and interdisciplinary engineering solutions.
