Prof. Martin Oellrich is a Professor at Berlin University of Applied Sciences (Department II - Mathematics - Physics - Chemistry). His research focuses on Algorithmic Graph Theory, Combinatorial Optimization, Routing Problems, and Efficient Data Structures. He holds a Diplom (1997) and PhD (2008) from TU Berlin, both supervised by Rolf H. Möhring. Notable awards include the GOR dissertation and diploma prizes for outstanding theses.
Key roles include Professor since 2008, Scientific Assistant at TU Berlin (2003–2008), and project leadership in telecom network optimization for firms like T-Systems. His work spans network design, discrete optimization, and algorithm development with industry applications. He advises theses in operations research, particularly involving graphs or discrete optimization.
Prior experience includes R&D roles at T-Systems, Deutsche Telekom, and IBM. Projects include 'Min-Cost Disjoint Paths,' 'HADRIAN' (IP traffic monitoring), and biotechnological parameter estimation. He also contributed to mobile network planning (D1 network) and gas station supply optimization.
