Alex Taylor is a Professor and Course Director for MA and MFA Acting at Birmingham City University’s Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where he also serves as Head of Postgraduate Studies. With a career spanning the UK, USA, and Southeast Asia, he has directed over thirty productions and worked as a voice coach for prestigious institutions like the Royal Shakespeare Company. Previously, he led the School of Theatre at Manchester Metropolitan University (1984–1990) and taught at the Juilliard School in New York.
