Alex Maritz is Professor of Entrepreneurship at La Trobe Business School with research focusing on entrepreneurship ecosystems and education. His work spans:

- Indigenous business development and economic empowerment
- Entrepreneurship education pedagogy and curriculum design
- Corporate innovation and startup ecosystems
Professor Maritz has published over 200 scholarly articles and secured $4 million in research funding. His industry experience includes executive roles at Sony PlayStation and Blockbuster Entertainment before transitioning to academia.
