معرفی
Distinguished Professor at James Cook University's College of Public Health, Medical and Veterinary Sciences. Obtained PhD in immunoparasitology from University of Queensland, with postdoctoral work at University of Edinburgh. Established Centre for Biodiscovery and Molecular Development of Therapeutics. Research focuses on parasitic helminth secretomes and their applications in anti-inflammatory therapeutics, vaccine development, and diagnostic tools. Primary projects include clinical trials for hookworm-based therapies, proteome microarrays for antigen discovery, and mechanisms of immunomodulation.
Research spans parasitic immunology, molecular therapeutics, and diagnostic innovation. Recent publications demonstrate strong focus on metabolic health interventions using helminth-derived molecules and plant-based anti-inflammatories. Key investigations explore host-parasite coevolution as blueprint for novel biologics.
Deputy Editor of International Journal for Parasitology. Secured sustained funding from NHMRC, NIH, and pharmaceutical partners including Merck. Co-founded biotech startup Macrobiome Therapeutics.
