Alex Kaminsky serves as Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Music at VanderCook College of Music since 2019. He previously led award-winning high school band programs in Florida, achieving unprecedented 21 consecutive Superior ratings at the Florida Bandmasters Association State Concert Band Assessments. His ensembles performed at renowned venues like Carnegie Hall and the Midwest Clinic. Recognized with accolades including the FMEA Secondary Music Educator of the Year (2019), he is a sought-after clinician and guest conductor, presenting at national conferences such as the Midwest Clinic and ABA National Convention.

- Master of Music Performance with Cognate in Instrumental Conducting, Indiana University (Highest Distinction)
Research & Innovation: Specializes in ensemble development, rehearsal techniques, and music as a tool for community healing. Pioneered 'The Kaminsky Method' for pitch accuracy and blend in wind bands. Authored articles featured in Teaching Music, Halftime Magazine, and Instrumentalist.
