Alex Ferrer Ferre

Àlex Ferrer Ferre is a Serra-Hunter Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona, and an associate researcher at the International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE). His research focuses on topology optimization, computational mechanics, and advanced material design. He holds a PhD in Computational Mechanics from UPC (2017) and has conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford and École Polytechnique. Key roles include teaching courses like Flight Mechanics and leading the Swan project for topology optimization software.
