Alessandro Tavoni is a Full Professor of Environmental Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Bologna. Previously, he served as Associate Professor at the London School of Economics (LSE), leading the Changing Behaviour Research Programme at the Grantham Research Institute. His research focuses on overcoming behavioral and political barriers to climate cooperation through game theory and experimental methods. He leads the ERC Consolidator Grant-funded 'GREEN TIPPING' project, exploring social tipping interventions to amplify climate action. Tavoni holds visiting roles at the LSE, Princeton University, and the Beijer Institute. His work spans climate policy design, international agreements, and sustainability strategies.
