Alessandra Malquori

Alessandra Malquori is a Professor of Iconography and Iconology (temporary assignment) at the Università degli Studi di Firenze since 2010. She is also an associated researcher (Chercheur associé) at CIHAM - UMR 5648 in Lyon. Her research focuses on Visual Culture and Communication in the Middle Ages and Renaissance, with projects linking textual and visual traditions. She holds a PhD from Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa and has held prestigious fellowships at the Warburg Institute and Villa I Tatti. She leads the "Atlas of the 'Thebaid' online project" and the "Paolo Uccello" project in collaboration with CNR-ICVBC and the Kunsthistorisches Institut. Her publications include monographs on medieval art and edited volumes on Tebaida themes.
